My Nan had dementia for the last 6 or so years of her life, she was the sweetest, kindest lady who would do anything for anyone.  I would like to remember her via this page and raise money for Dementia UK in the process.  Dementia UK provides Admiral Nurses to support families facing dementia.  My nan had several carers who were amazing, but having been through the dementia journey with her and my family, I have witnessed first hand how many professionals in the care giving process have little knowledge and experience in dementia.  More families need the support of a specialist Admiral Nurse, to help them cope with dementia.
